"I was at a place called Hill 55, about 20 clicks southwest of Danang.

I remember it well - I was there earlier and lost a lot of friends there. On July 20th 1969, I was a brecently discharged Sergeant of Marines, recovering from wounds.

They have a VC monument on Hill 55 today.

I know. I’ve seen pictures of it. The French lost a big battle there.
