The Cats trailer has received more online criticism for the CGI 'whitewashing' of its black female lead in the live-action film. Francesca Hayward, 27, who plays the main character in the adaptation is seen pirouetting and frolicking with a white face of fur in the clip released on Thursday. Fans believe Hayward's feline form should have been portrayed using fur to match her natural skin tone. Despite the character being named 'Victoria the White' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's original musical, some believe they could have easily changed the 'arbitrary point.'

First it was, "Justice is taking from the financially rich, and giving to the financially poor."
It's just a short jump from that to:
"Justice is taking from the culturally rich, and giving to the culturally poor."
It's cultural redistribution. THAT is why so many white characters and historical figures are being dishonestly transformed into black ones.
They try to have it both ways - making the Jesse Jackson quota by hiring a black actress, and then whitewashing her to not turn off their paying customers.
I wonder if they’ll do that in the next James Bond movie, where they also have a black actress playing bond (LOL)...and who knows, may they’ll CGI her not only into whiteface, but also make a guy out of her when they’re done.
Cuz it’s NOT about getting the best dancer.
It’s also NOT about getting black folks “in there”.
It’s about making honkies feel UNCOMFORTABLE, waging the kulturkampf.
What’s the point if you force them to BlackStaff up 100% but all the honkies are just sitting there, still grinning and glassy-eyed..?
For SJWs it just won’t do to have blacks who can sort of pass for whites, the whole point is to DIVIDE PEOPLE and make sure to UNDERSTAND that they have been divided.

The PC trend to select black actors is a bit overdone, but in the past, the blacks (and Asians) were alas left out of history books.

Egypt had many Nubian archers in their army so since King Tut's grandmother was a “commoner” whose father was in the army, some people think Tut and his father Ikhnaton, were partially Nubian.

And yes there were “black pharaohs” after the fall of the New Kingdom.

I have been told by a few dark “black” friends how they were discriminated against by their lighter skinned “black” colleagues. It was called the. brown paper bag test. Darker than a brown paper bag: no good...lighter: good. Even the “oppressed” people of coluh...can be prejudiced...bunch o’ignorami.
