Senator Paul states that our massive debt of $22 trillion coupled with any new spending that has the longevity of 70-80 years should be offset by cutting less valuable spending. He suggests there needs to be debate and that he will offer an amendment if the bill should come to the floor.

Despite that, it seems that the 80-90 years of financial commitment proposed by this bill is excessive.
Granted, 1) I have not read the bill, nor am I likely to read it; 2) I agree with assisting the individuals and their families who were directly affected by 9-11.
However, 80-90 years of assistance from current(?) day puts that between 2099 and 2109. Even if a child of a person affected by this atrocious act were born following 9-11-01, I am thinking that his/her possible life-span would most likely not be anywhere near 98-108 years of age.
Perhaps I am wrong. Please enlighten me.
