The moral deprivation of our modern culture has corrupted a lot of regular Americans.

I disagree.....Christians understand we are all ‘in a process’ of sanctification... others are ‘on their way’ to Salvation as God draws them to Himself. Both are the works of the Holy Spirit in ‘how and when’ He operates in an individuals life.
The problem is Christians are too quick to forget their own sins and where God found them.....which goes hand in hand then with being far to judgmental about the condition of others.
I've been around here for a long while. 20 years ago, people here would have been less interested in straining at gnats, over Trump's use of GD, and more appreciative of his accomplishments.

I've been here much longer than 20 years and I well remember what FR was like back then and through the rest of its existence.
