Money quotes:

Last year in the Women’s National Basketball Association, the maximum veteran player salary was $115,500, while the men in the National Basketball Association earned a minimum salary of $582,180.

Although the Ladies Professional Golf Association this year will distribute a record of roughly $70 million in prize money, this is only close to one-fifth what the men will receive from the Professional Golf Association Tour.

Yes they went there. There is nothing stopping a woman from trying to play in the NBA or get a PGA tour card. I guess these idiots never bothered looing at the revenues the men's leagues generate compared to the women's versions. /src on/But all you know it is all about equal pay for equal work. So if that means the Kevins need to take a 90% pay cut and use that revenue to pay WNBA players then let it be in the name of equity./src off/

It shouldn’t stop here, it should extend all the way down to “club” sports. There are many over 50 softball leagues and I’m sure the players are undercompensated. Perhaps just pay everyone the same rate as everyone else.

Some guard in the WNBA is going to have to get Mike Trout money in order to make things “fair”.

Kendall Schofield isn’t paid the same as Alex Ovechkin. What an outrage.

Go for it. Lets see the Dems mandate a equal pay here. What will happen is women’s sports will fold. There is a little something called revenue to support all of this. Women’s professional sports does not generate that kind of monies and never will. So say goodbye to women’s professional sports.

In the under 40 crowd, among those that identify as female, this gets lots of traction. Those people were not taught economics, nor were they taught critical thinking. However, they were taught that women are perpetual victims.

The WNBA has averaged $10 million annual losses in its 22 years of operation.

The whole irony is if somehow this fantasy world comes to pass the women’s leagues would be flooded with Ts from LGBTs attracted by the money. So in the end biological men will get all the money. What would these two nag senators say about that?

What it seems they are suggesting but not outright saying it yet is that the men and the male sports leagues should give up money to make up the gap.

They don’t care about the argument over viewership. In their minds, a pro male and a pro female athlete should be paid the same. Period.

Hey dumbazzes, for the most part people don’t want to watch women’s sports unless the participants are really hot (very unusual) or they’re related to the participants. Deal with it!

Make one unisex league for all sports. Problem solved.
And no more senior league BS.

Who wears the pants? The one who puts them on, so put them on, girls.

I want to see Venus Williams play against people her own size.
Watching her beat little girls is getting old.

MLB seems to be smart in never having a women’s league or say an associated softball league.

Liberals are always in search of the next problem to “fix” so that wouldn’t be a problem. The Media will never point out the previous position that created the problem — unless 1 or both ‘nags’ runs for president down the line and some new wave communist thinks there’s an upside to calling them on it.

Of course the real issue has nothing to do with sexism and everything to do with the fact that the WNBA simply isn’t very popular with Americans. For example, last month the WNBA averaged 250,000 viewers per game with a high of 378,000. Relative to the history of the league, this was an extraordinary success, up 39 percent from last year. By comparison, last year’s Professional Bowling League averaged 650,000 viewers for ESPN.

Trout makes more per year than ESPN pays to televise WNBA games ($25 million). Meanwhile, TV networks pay about $3 billion a year to televise NBA games.
