I notice the article says he was hit near an intersection, not in an intersection. Was he using a crosswalk?
I don’t know. Was he sober? was the driver? Who had the light? None of that is answered, and may not be known. He’s dead though, for sure.
If you live in or near any large city, can you honestly say that you’ve seen more than five per cent of them actually using crosswalks? Not here in Baltimore.
The last time I was there (and yes it’s been a year or so) there is no crosswalk at Baker and North Hampton. I grew up less than a mile from there. North Hampton is a major divided Highway (rt 166) that overpasses Baker with entrance and exit ramps. No reason to even attempt crossing North Hampton. It must have been on Baker.
