Even the Stand was lame. I rolled my eyes at that motorcycles because they get great gas mileage kind of thing. Any sane person would get a large pickup with massively more range. You can carry all you need, far less risk of wrecking and being mangled in a post apocalypse world with all the hospitals deserted.
Then when you find fuel at an old station, fill your tank, fill 15 gas cans.
