No, they haven’t. In fact, it is a standard question in nearly every electronic medical record’s system because the AMA says it SHOULD be asked.
I once blew up at our pediatrician for taking time away from dealing with my child with a high fever to lecture me on gun ownership. Excuse me, kid with 104 fever should be your FIRST priority.
It is also cruel to patients to take up the limited time you have with them to lecture them on guns, social justice or climate change. Much less charge them for it.
Yes, apparently. Our pediatrician had this tendency to want to be “alone” with our children, but my wife and I never let her. The kids were prepared, though, for an invasive or private questions.

If the question about guns is on the check box it gets a NO, despite the several we own. Even my hubby will do that, he’s a Ret. SCPO. It is NONE of their Business. Since we have a 21 month grand, we own a gun safe and use it when she is around.

The only thing the skin doc says is limit your Sun exposure, you are a very Fair Skinned person called it Celtic skin. Nothing I didn’t already know as I’ve burned easy all of my life. I’m the 1 who wears a hat, highest # skin Block they make and will still pick up a burn after 30 mins in full sun.
Tells the same thing to hubby who tans well, but at 79 has had several skin cancers removed. END of climate talk.
