Ephebophilia is the primary sexual interest in mid-to-late adolescents, generally ages 15 to 19. The term was originally used in the late 19th to mid 20th century.

Currently, pedophilia seems to be commonly used for sexual acts with children through young teens. And who knows how young Epstain’s victims were.

Thanks. I understand the dictionary definitions. Seems like the “street definition” conflates the two.

Epstein could have abused people of any age, but he’s accused of “girls as young as 14” according to what I’ve read so far.

Some have been calling them “pedovores” rather than “pedophiles” which I think is a bit more apt.
