I got on the highway at the previous exit going the other direction and immediately said to my passengers, “Something’s going on...there are no cars on the eastbound side. It’s got to be blocked ahead.”
Sure enough, this was happening. It’s odd that seeing no traffic would automatically mean a bad thing is happening, but I’ve seen stranger things on these highways.
