Body camera video released Friday by Fullerton police shows that the 17-year-old girl killed in a police shooting on an Anaheim freeway had exited her vehicle and was holding a fake gun, according to police.
Hannah Williams can only briefly be seen outside the gray rental SUV she was in before she's shot on the eastbound 91 Freeway near Kramer Boulevard on July 5. Fullerton police say the replica Beretta later found near her body can be seen in her hands, pointed at the officer.
The bodycam's audio was not activated when the officer opened fire, so it's unclear exactly when she was shot. The audio cuts in as the officer is radioing, "Shots fired," while backing around the SUV.
Williams is next seen lying on her back on the freeway. The replica firearm is on the ground a few feet away.

Like I figured at the start, suicide by cop. A truly selfish and horrible thing to do, that cop has to live with having killed a person with a fake weapon and if he stays a cop it may cost him his life or others in the future if he hesitates to act.
Did you miss the part where she use her car as a ram before it all panned out? Or do you just automatically blame the cops for protecting themselves from danger as it arises? What’s your experience in the area - other than jumping to conclusions because it ain’t your ass on the line???
Blue Suicide is a selfish and Cowardly act. Pushes the blame and guilt on another person. Very sad.
Are you a cop trebb?
Nope - have a few friends who are...and a number of friends who were in Nam and in other more recent campaigns even though i was never put in harms way during my career...
Just get tired of the armchair quarterbacks who have also never been in actual harms way trying to judge the actions of those who are in the middle of it with real threats to worry about....while only having their own opinions of themselves as a gauge as they seem to think they would not blink or have the slightest twinge of fear in scenarios that they have never experienced.
