Perhaps I’m a party-pooper by nature and nurture. When I was a kid I heard the music from the ice cream truck then excitedly asked my father for a quarter.

Unless you never heard that one, it’s an old one. Otherwise, it’s mine. But the risk of being condemned as a killjoy makes me defensive. “Our” team won, didn’t it? That’s what counts! USA! USA!

Sorry, those stompy-foot lesbians turned me completely off to it. Its a shame for the normal women on the team, but I have no respect or admiration for that bunch of losers. They can pound sand. I was almost encouraged when she was benched the previous game, but wen they let her play after that I just said screw ‘em.
The article forgot to mention that they are tacking on their insensitivity and questionable intestinal fortitude by suing US Soccer for equal pay, based upon gender, for money they didn’t generate to earn.
They are suing using Title VII of the Civil Rights Act which reads: Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is a federal law that prohibits employers from discriminating against employees on the basis of sex, race, color, national origin and religion.
They won’t win but U.S. Soccer has 110 Organization Members across the country that organize and promote soccer in a variety of ways, from the grassroots to professional leagues. Membership with U.S. Soccer is open to all soccer organizations and all soccer players, coaches, trainers, managers, administrators and officials without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, citizenship, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status. So they are attempting to take the money out of the hands of the disabled, youth, and veteran’s groups. That in itself is real noteworthy for the National Soccer Hall of Fame resume when they go to Dallas to be enshrined when it is built and transferred from Oneonta, NY. I’m sure they will be proud of that when it is read. But no one will have the guts. After all, they’re just geerrls. When they need to be.

This “journalist” then retorts that that’s not true, they were the “odds on favorite” and provides exactly the same amount of evidence (none) to support his assertion.
