Well I grew up in the day when we didn’t have child car seats or seat belts for that matter.. Are traffic deaths down? If a car is ripped in half your seat belt will probably no save you..

I remember standing up in the front seat between two adults as they drove around. This was in the late 1940s while I was maybe five. Shudder...

I was often told that I was brought home from the hospital in a Hamms Beer case. Just assumed it to be true it was the sixties, those were nice boxes, and returning the bottles probably paid for the gas.

Yeah, traffic deaths are down, way down from the pre-belt days. There's a lot of reasons for it, but the seat belts are a big part of it.
