I’ve always thought that using a VPN was tantamount to screaming I AM DOING SOMETHING I DON’T WANT ANYONE TO KNOW ABOUT!!!

I use a VPN primarily for banking and investing (buying or selling stocks). I travel overseas frequently and a VPN adds a layer of encryption in addition to hiding my IP address.

Actually, a VPN exposes your IP address. There is no way you can connect without an IP address.

Same here. I knew I couldn’t do anything regarding the bank website I use, my 401K and our Vanguard online account. All the security measures I could do was on my end. I also hide behind an SPI firewall, an outgoing software firewall, and a keystroke scrambler.

Still, I know I’m not safe. I’m just trying the best I know how to keep thieves out of our finances. Our home has 3 computers that have Internet access and my computer is the only one that accesses our finances.
