So the question becomes why the men’s tournament earned six billion, vs. $131 million for the women’s tournament? Gate attendance doesn’t account for that difference. Neither does tv viewership; the men’s tournament had about three times the viewership, not 45x. Where is all that extra money for the men’s tournament coming from?

Last year, the men's World Cup generated $6 billion, and gave about 7 percent to the teams. The 2019 Women's World Cup made $131 million, and gave out more than 20 percent to the teams.

That's just not fair, clearly the men need reparations.
