If you want to be revisionist then fine.
But I take the President as true to his word.
You still blame the whole Team as U.N.-American which is U.N.-American. Oh. Wait. You changed that too. Now its especially the Captain.
OK fine.
Happy for you.
un-A Erica
My tablet doesnt even like un-American.
You took only half my quote and distorted it by saying I called the President “a political whore.” I said no such thing. Therefore, I had to reiterate and expand my statement, which I will do again.
My first point is both the President and his wife are representatives of the US. The USWNT, and especially the captain, are likewise representatives of the US. I’ve said that the President has been a better representative than the USWNT. Do you disagree the President has been a better representative?
My other point is that I am not an official representative of the US, and as such, am free to disagree with our representatives.
The President may indeed be proud of the team collectively. I have no idea if that true, or of he is just being gracious. You take him at his word, fine. I’m not so convinced he doesn’t have issues with some of the things said and done, but is willing to overlook them in their collective moment of triumph.
I’m not proud of this team, as they have allowed their politics to overshadow their victory.
If you still think that I am calling the President a “political whore” (again, your words, not mine) and that I am a revisionist, well so be it. If you cannot debate without ad hominem attacks on me, well, I’ve said what I have to say.
