So, please provide a legally sufficient definition of a pit bull. A definition that would stand up to a legal challenge.

Were the “pit” fighting dogs bred with certain teeth conformation and strong jaws that could withstand attempts to pull away, and a stout musculature?

By brother in law suffered a great amount of permanent damage to his left arm during an unprovoked attack (at a BBQ) by a pit/mastiff. The owner didn’t sugar coat the incident and had the dog put down. The neighbors down the street grand daughter got bit up pretty bad by their pit mix, and my nextdoor neighbors daughter was launched at and bitten by the pet Golden Retriever, which was also put down.
