The U.S. Womens National Team will compete for the biggest prize in womens soccer when it takes on the Netherlands in the championship game of the 2019 FIFA Womens World Cup on Sunday, July 7 at Stade de Lyon in the French capital of womens soccer. This will be the fifth appearance in a FIFA Womens World Cup Final for the USA, which is the first and only nation to win it on three occasions: 1991, 1999 and 2015.
It will also mark a record third straight finals appearance for the U.S. after the team defeated Japan in an epic finals rematch in Canada 2015, four years after falling short in a shootout against Japan at the 2011 edition.
The USA earned its way into the 2019 final by blazing through its group in record fashion beating Thailand (13-0), Chile (3-0) and semifinalists Sweden (2-0) before combining tremendous skill, savvy and will to meet increasingly tough challenges from rising power Spain (2-1) in the Round of 16, World Cup host France (2-1) in the Quarterfinal and No. 3 ranked England (2-1) in an epic Semifinal showdown.

The entire tournament you kept implyingHappy the truth bothered you all this time. No one took a knee. Don't really care what a crazy angry nut thinks I implied. Go visit the airport and squish planes in the distance between your greasy twisted fingers and imagine them the USWNT.
Dutch King looks sad! I feel for him.
Wishing death? You are one trolling and sick puppy.
Was a bad pen by Rapinoe. Very lucky it wasn’t saved. It’s pretty obvious the lesbian head coach featured Rapinoe over Morgan for non sporting reasons.
Looking forward to the mens game tonight!
You probably work for the media, you lying @ss.
Never once did you bother to mention there was a new rule that prevented our players from kneeling.
“No one took a knee” “No one took a knee”
LMAO
The trophy! I feel proud to be an American!
Lets make it 2-0 tonight and beat Mexico like a rented mule... er, piñata!
USA! USA! USA! USA!
Rob Stone just said a #USWNT parade is being planned for New York on Wednesday morning. Sure seems like the @USWNT is going to get the Canyon of Heroes treatment. Amazing.— Rich Eisen (@richeisen) July 7, 2019
Jill Ellis joins the legendary mens Vittorio Pozzo for back to back title wins!
Which Italy did in 1934 and in 1938.
What else have you lied about?
2015 and 2019. Its a historic accomplishment!
Although the US men’s team stinks on a world wide stage (Pulisic the exception right now) there is at least some type of mid-field play that goes on.
Chicks need to evolve that part of the game on a consistent basis instead of defensive long balls towards the forwards/sidelines who then chase the ball/center, repeat ad nauseam. Throws all the finesse out the window which makes the sport watchable.
What have you not trolled about?
Join us tonight on the Gold Cup thread. See you in Chicago for another USA win!
Yes and the future looks great too with expansion and funding commitments both nationally and internationally.
A very exciting time for Women’s Soccer.
