Imo, the news that Flynn’s new attorney is seeking a security clearance is rather newsy.
According to the NYT story Q linked, “In the wake of Mr. Flynn’s reversal, federal prosecutors are now asserting that he is an unindicted co-conspirator rather than a cooperating witness and want to introduce his statements as evidence.”
Raving lefties like to refer to POTUS as an “unindicted co-conspirator”. It’s one of their favorite flavors...

It seems now, though, that things may go a bit deeper. Monday, Powell appeared in Federal District court and made an unusual disclosure before Judge Sullivan – that she would need a security clearance to review classified materials in order to properly prepare for Flynn’s sentencing.
