In a Vanity Fair 2003 article Epstein remarked ever since he left Bear Stearns in 1981 he has managed money only for billionaires -- who depend on him for discretion.
Epstein had only one client for money management, Les Wexner.
I see blackmail in this. Wexner was forced to renounce any ties to the Republican Party and changed his party preference to Independent. He stopped donating to Republicans.
It seems Epstein found blackmail was a pathway to money and power. Epstein's Island and ties to NXIVM are a few components that emerge as a global blackmail network.
