Not sure about Indiana but in many states you can’t demand a jury trial if the possible sentence is less than 6 months. That’s probably why he faces 179 days.

I’m not worried about it. Animals who hurt kids are at the bottom of the prison food chain. Assuming he lives that long, he may wish that they had sent him to the chair long before he gets to 19 years.

Dramatic moment uncle PUNCHES his baby-killing brother in the face in court moments after he was sentenced for killing his 11-month-old son

Kwin Boes, 23, was sentenced to 25 years behind bars for killing his son Parker
Baby Parker died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head last May
Kwin claimed he had fallen off the couch and died by hitting his head

Boes' son died last year after being brought to the hospital unresponsive. He was airlifted to a different facility but doctors could not revive him.

He told officers that the baby had fallen off his 'booby pillow' on the couch, hit his head and died.

A medical examiner ruled that his death was the result of homicide. 

The uncle, who has not been named, was arrested for punching his brother inside the courtroom. 

He was filmed being put in handcuffs and walked down the stairs from the courthouse. 

As he was led away, he yelled: 'I ain't resisting you guys.'

It would have been better for you to simply apologize for the inappropriate attempt at humor than to make up a ridiculous excuse like that. Everyone makes mistakes. The obvious story here is that the baby's killer was punched in the face. Then at the end they say the baby died of "blunt force trauma to the head". It doesn't say the baby was punched in the face.

Have you ever seen a 3 month old child? The only way it would not be in the face is if the baby was on his back. Good grief? What kind of blunt force could you use against a 3 month old?
