When I go to town, someone always stops me to chat about the Ronnie Raygun [that's the car's name]. 1988, and Reagan was till President.
I've not needed much work on it; but mechanics who have lifted the hood, stand in wonder.
Yea, I miss the heated seats and infrared wipers on the bemmer. Yet my property taxes went from $500/annum to $17.50.

Chuck Yeager, who drove rocket planes for a living, being the first person to break the sound barrier in level flight in the Bell X-1, later was talked into writing an autobiography . . for Bantam, the same publisher that had made Lee Iacocca a household name with his (ghost-written) life story,
Iacocca:
As I recall, Gen. Yeager enjoyed a private victory--never boasting or criticizing the competition--when sales of his recently-published book bumped Iacocca's from the #1 spot on the NY Times' best-seller list.
I wonder who will be remembered as the greater man.
