Ross, Burlington, Marshalls.......whole families with at least 1 sometimes 2 baskets full of cheap designer crap. They pull out cash to pay for it all since were paying for their kids medical bills (Medicaid) and food bills (food stamps). Peeves me off every time I see it. Sometimes Im the only white person in there.
K-mart here in New Mexico used to be the same way. The standing joke here used to be the first English the kids learned was attention K-mart shoppers .
Yup, same here.
Meanwhile, I’m standing there with a $10 item, wondering if I can really afford it.
Last week, this huge gal was buying midriff tops and capris by the cartload, while the rest of us stood waiting for her dozens of items to be scanned, each needing a security tag removed, as well.
25 minutes.
She knew the two of us behind her had one or two items and she did not care nor offer to let us go ahead of her.
[as I would surely have done, in her place]
The black couple waiting ahead of me were visibly pissed when she pulled out that WAD of twenties so it was not just my “white privilege” acting up.
Now somewhere, her rolls of lard are joyously popping out above her capris, unfettered by a shirt that actually conceals them.
She had a nice new SUV, too.
Ugh
