Being that Florida is a stand-your-ground state – meaning that you do not have a duty to retreat when posed with danger if you are legally allowed to be there – and all the evidence showed that George was defending himself, no charges were brought against him that night. It wasn’t until later when then President Obama called governor Rick Scott and demanded that he find somebody in the state of Florida that would prosecute George. After consulting multiple district attorney’s, the Governor found one in Jacksonville that would take the case.

yeah, that rick scott note pissed me off. what a suck up POS.

I like GZ and read every bit of info there was when the events were taking place. Without a doubt, he was innocent and needed to be exonerated.

I love the story about the Robertson meeting too; really great and love that GZ is a believer and I’ll see him in eternity!

Yes and Pam Bondi, who gets a lot of press as a conservative, helped push that through.
