If you want the arch fit, Brooks are what is up, but they can only be found at special shoe fitting shops. That is what the US Army provides soldiers.

Brooks are what is up,

I used to run a lot in the 70's and early 80's and Brooks were the best shoes I ever had.

Once they wore out, I had to switch brands since they were no longer available where I lived. From that point on, it was all downhill......knee pain, shin splints, lower back pain...etc. Finally had to give up running.

You can buy Brooks directly from their website. They have some pretty significant sales...you just have to visit their site occasionally to keep up with the sale items. I type the word "sale" into their search prompt and the sale categories come up as suggestions. Don't appear to be any sales for men's shoes right now. The best sale item I purchased was a pair $150 Glycerins for $100. They are running shoes I use for walking...soft, soft sole.
