Can Disney remake Song of the South with a redneck Uncle Remus?

I went to a
Sight & Sound Studios adaptation of the story of Jesus. It was not a intended to be a 100% Scripture-based story (they tell you that upfront) but it was awesome...very moving and very uplifting.
The actor playing Jesus was white; the actor playing the Apostle John was black. It didn't matter to me nor anyone in my party, and I didn't see anyone rioting in the parking lot.
Perhaps....people on the Believer/traditionalist side of the political spectrum are..more TOLERANT!?!

I think the swimming comment needed a big sarcasm alert based on old stereotypes, which is the way I read it.

Oh no. The incels will never go see out now.

More diversity nonsense that will no doubt be used to attack anyone who dares criticizes Disney for being greedy, lazy, and safe with its films lately.

Stereotype?
Nope. Reality:
Just under 70% of African-American children surveyed said they had no or low ability to swim. Low ability merely meant they were able to splash around in the shallow end. A further 12% said they could swim but had “taught themselves”.

That’s based on a true story.

"How many black Olympic swimmers are there? Sorry if it's illegal to point out the truth.

Yes. I know. Great movie. Great Candy.
I have black friends who I was in the shooting sports with. Nice guys. Looked at me like I had 2 heads when I suggested they might like snow skiing

What I remember at L.A. beaches, they rarely go deeper than the knees. So “swimming” is very rare.
