Cool beans.
TZ is one of these shows that I thought was good when younger.
Now, it just seems pointless and nonsensical.
When there is a point it’s often generic leftist or liberal.
I really enjoy it. One surprising fun part is that most episodes were filmed on 16mm film. With a modern 4k set the picture is so sharp that it’s easy to see the physical flaws in the sets. So much of it must have been filed under, “this will never show on anybody’s TV set.” That may have been true then, but with modern TV’s presenting the full detail ofthe 16mm film, you see all the rough spots in the walls, the gaps at the floor, etc. Same with the Andy Griffith show. And Pettycoat Junction.
And we watched one of the first episodes of Gidget (Sally Fields as a teen) and there she was, displaying a camel toe for all to see. We were a bit shocked, frankly.
The finest 20 minutes of my life was one on one with Rod Serling.
