I hope this doesn't drive away customers from Tanforan Mall, which I like a lot. It is very friendly for young kids (not yutes, but the 1 to 12 year-old kids). The movie multiplex is right on the food court, which has some great variety of food. The mall has many kid-friendly arcades, play areas, and other venues for kids. Like a train ride that circles around the upper level, traveling the corridors among walkers. The lower level has mobile electric animal vehicles for kids to ride on. My grandkids especially like those. I haven't seen stuff like that at other malls locally. The movie complex does draw a lot of teenagers, but most are decent and not unruly.
As a side note, Tanforan used to be a racetrack where the prize-winning horse Sea Biscuit of movie fame ran, and was used as a Japanese-American detention facility during WWII.
“The facility was named after Toribio Tanforan, the grandson-in-law of Jose Antonio Sanchez, the grantee of the Rancho Buri Buri Mexican land grant.” — Wikipedia
