Had more than enough of their Leftist, virtue signaling propaganda. Hope they go broke.

Wake me up when they make another ‘Patton’.

They make a good movie for adults once in a blue moon, but the deluge of superhero movies and animated films for kids is depressing.

4. I don’t want to support those who make or have an acting role in modern movies.

GF wanted to catch a movie 2 weeks ago and I couldn’t stomach the thought of seeing any of them

Men in Black - now with female “men”
Secret Lives of Pets - offensive, anti-Trump voice actors
Etc...

They have tunnel vision and are unable to relate to the part of the country that used t go to movies before the Hollywood elites stated belittling them.

How many times have we seen the same article where Hollywood shakes its collective head wondering why their box office results are so dismal? It’s because the movies suck! It’s not that difficult to figure out.

On the other hand “Yesterday”, a romantic comedy about a singer-songwriter who discovers that no one else remembers the Beatles is a surprise hit. Maybe that’s because it’s creative, original, well written and doesn’t pound endless Leftist and LGBT narratives into its audience?

people love the theatrical experience

Um, no, they don't. People talking during the movie. Texting on their phones.

Mostly, folks are tired of political propaganda and movies pushing the lie that fags are acceptable people.

I noticed that when they showed a preview of the lion King. I was at the movies and it was a preview and it was not the cartoon. I didn’t understand. Milking it for all they can get.

“CGI garbage for the Asian markets!”

Don’t know whether or not you intend that as satire but it’s exactly what Hollywood has been doing.

The audience outside of the US is vastly larger, so we have been at the back of the movie bus for a long time.

I tended to enjoy “small movies” the most, they may be the only ones that are written primarily for American audiences. And it’s been awhile since I’ve even looked for one of those.

Exactly. I was going to add that after the fact.

#4 is the most important reason of all.

“It has to start with quality storytelling, That’s our focus,” said Cathleen Taff, Disney’s president of global distribution. “If we deliver movies people are going to enjoy, they are going to come back. You can’t fool them.”

She needs to have a long, hard discussion with their Lucasfilm division. They have pretty much killed the Star Wars franchise since Disney bought them by ignoring this very advice.

I am still waiting for a movie to match “Dr. Strangelove”.

Dark comedy seems to be a lost art.

They’re not very smart. I miss the old mid budget original movies that Hollywood used to make.

Yesterday looks like a pretty good movie.

Handler doesn’t see any megahits in 2020? 3 Marvel, 1 Bond, 1 Fast and Furious, and 2 DCs. Cash will be made.

I thought John Wick 3 was like most of today's action flicks. So choreographed and preposterous it conveyed no sense of reality whatsoever. It's boring when you know the hero can't lose no matter how many opponents he takes on at once.

Maybe they will look in the mirror and realize they have alienated half their audience by lecturing about leftist politics.
But if they do, I admit I still won’t spend my money on them.

The "Elephant In The Room"....

A lot of people are tired of the diversity crap being shoved in our faces, when we are just trying to watch a series or film that might otherwise be somewhat interesting.

Someone else mentioned how much money Hollywood makes in overseas markets.

I wonder if they leave the scenes uncut, with homosexuals kissing, when they show the films in Asia? Probably not. Why should we have to see it?

And "Diversity Casting" just for the sake of "Multi-Culti"?!?! Black actors playing characters that were obviously written to be Caucasian...

Enough!!!!

You just don’t care about whose ass it is or why it’s farting.

I'm not sure where you got that from.
