No. It's just not. There's lots of science on this and it's not true that either pesticides or GMOs are a health problem. GMOs in particular are just different varieties of crops, and they aren't something to be afraid of.
What is responsible for so much illness is the kind of food we eat, and the fact that for decades now the government has gotten its definition of a healthy diet almost exactly reversed from reality.

Every single agricultural product you eat has been genetically modified. It has been that way for a long time. Even so, humans, on average, live longer today than at any other point in history.
Monsanto makes it possible to feed billions of people who may have otherwise starved to death, or lived their short lives on the edge of starvation. Your statement also assumes that illnesses are not cause by bacteria, viruses, etc. at all, but rather from what people eat or don't eat. Agree with you but most FReepers won’t. Most of our illnesses come from us as a people, as an individual / family, not caring enough for ourselves to eat or live with regard to thriving health. We are influenced by ads and popular opinion and fake tastes.
