Then there is the fact that the two WORST eating segments of our populace are either the trendy "FOODIES", and those who mostly rely on chains for their meals most of the time and/or just buy and eat nothing but processed meat ( hot dogs and the like )boxed mac&cheese, etc.! Cooking home made meals from scratch? Oh don't be silly...that's NOT what they do.

Re the ILLEGAL INVADING HORDE...I want not only the wall, but gun towers, and buried bombs across our Southern border, another way on our Northern border and ankle bracelets on everyone who comes here on a tourist/school/work Visa, with them rounded up and deported, forthwith should they overstay!

Of FIRST WORLD Nations, the Uk ( mostly alcholoism, but also dope), Russia ( same as the UK ), France ( prescription ills and dope), and Slovakia are far worse off than the USA. Also on the list of the worst are Mexico, Iran ( not really a First World nation ), Afghanistan,and the Scandinavian nations are not doing well at all! And actually Sweden was REALLY a druggie heaven long before the Muslim INVADERS came, back in the '70z-early '80s, when that whole nation made the likes of "NEEDLE PARK", on the Upper West Side, of Manhattan look like a "NO DOPE ZONE"!
And FYI...opioids aren't the ONLY drugs killing people here; lots and lots of dopers are strung out on heroin, and other garbage; you just are unaware of that, I guess.

Agree with you but most FReepers won’t. Most of our illnesses come from us as a people, as an individual / family, not caring enough for ourselves to eat or live with regard to thriving health. We are influenced by ads and popular opinion and fake tastes.
U.S. Life Expectancy Drops for 3rd year in a row. Yes we are living longer in general historically speaking, but any drop - however slight, is still worth careful reflection and examination.

Well, I can’t argue in any way that lobbying isn’t effective. Money does talk to politicians.
