I do not like national sales tax or VAT tax, because the politicians can jack up the taxes as much as they want without anyone knowing how much of the inflated prices they pay is actually going to the government to subsidize things like growing third world type barrios for illegals.
So you like the progressive income tax better? All consumption taxes are regressive, making them better.
