It is human DNA. Neandertal DNA shows up in many if not most living humans -- and of course, the samples of DNA from morphologically Neandertal remains is pretty small.

Neanderthal DNA is human DNA. Most living human beings have some Neanderthal DNA (except people whose ancestry is entirely sub-Saharan African). If you take the 23andMe DNA test they will tell you how much Neanderthal DNA you have compared to their other participants.
