I grew up in New York. This is as if someone dropped a nuke on Madison Square Garden. I am listening to WFAN from NYC. Tonight it is going to be epic with Knicks fans needing to be talked down from jumping off bu8ildings ands bridges. One of the reason the Nets is hot is Brooklyn is where it is at now, the Nets have proven over the past few years they are now a well run club, and the Knicks have been and will remain on the worst run sports franchises as long as James Dolan runs the club. The Knicks have been preparing for the past few years to sign two studs and it looks like they will come out empty handed.

Kevin and Kyrie should star in some Welcome Back Carter inspired skit.

Kyrie in Brooklyn? No KD for awhile.. Nets may do OK next season.. doubt they’ll ever manage a championship tho no matter who’s healthy. Knicks remain the Knicks.. screwed. Last championship in 1973.

Unless the Knicks somehow persuade Kawhi Leonard to sign, this is an absolute disaster. They got rid of Porzingis for this?
And as a Warriors fan who got to enjoy seeing Durant turn the Warriors from Godzilla into Mecha-Godzilla, nothing but gratitude and best wishes for Durant. We stole him from OKC, so we have no right to any bitterness now that the Nets stole him, and it's going to be interesting watching him and Kyrie Irving - two of the most emo players in the league - try to deal with the New York media.

Wow, KD is damaged goods now. He is a great player but an Achilles injury is very hard to return from. There is a reason it has a Greek god’s name for it. (BTW, i have had an Achilles injury.)

Good luck with that Achilles, Kevin. Dont count on Kyrie to be a leader.

I've been listening to the WFAN feed from Radio.com and gawd, you'd think the world has officially ended for Knicks fans.

Former Knicks fan here. Mills and Dolan are garbage! But the Knicks do not need broken down players, they need young talent. Durant wouldn’t have played until about 2021 and Irving isn’t a good clubhouse guy for the younger players. I think The New Jersey Nets will regret these 2 deals.

The Nets get a cripple (Durant, who I like and hope recovers) and a cancer, team chemistry-wise (Kyrie).
This may end of making the Paul Pierce/Kevin Garnett fleecing the Nets took seem like a bargain by comparison.
