Jony Ive, Apples chief design officer, is leaving the company, Apple announced on Thursday.
Apple stock dropped 1% on the news in after-hours trading.
Ive is considered one of the most important people at Apple, responsible for the industrial design and the look and feel of all major Apple products, including the iPhone and the Mac. He had worked at Apple for more than 20 years.
(please see link for full story)
“I agree, anyone who uses Smith as a name is faking their identity”
That’s what Jones said.
MagSafe connectors are what most adult toys use, by the way. Almost none of them have plug-in power ports.
I had to do the same sort of thing with my MacBook Pro. Only two USB C ports. If you use one for the charger, that leaves one open port. Had to get an add on USB hub.
Like I said, the Macs are still good machines, but they used to be the go to machine for the creative. Now, they're more like jewelry.
The new MacPro is a great step but only for the people that can afford expensive jewelry. I still have three old Mac Pros that I now use just for the Web Browser and do little else, too old to care anymore. My eyesight is so poor that I use a 70 inch 4k TV as a monitor and spend a lot of time on YouTube seeing the wonders of the world. I would rather watch a prepper wrestle a log onto a home made sawmill than watch the next "bombshell" story on the news.
Do they work as well as the “real thing”? I’ve purchased a few at various prices that work the same way for my iPad and iPhone. One worked for a while then just quit. The others never
worked at all...
Dunno, Ive been using a Mac Pro and an iPad almost exclusively for a few years. Some Ive seen online were well reviewed, others not so much.
