When I started doing military sick call in the early 90s there were still 0-6s with an induction physical in the Health Record. Period. 20 years of service and exactly one document in the chart. 4 pieces of paper. And they were not uncommon. In a little under two decades I also saw female E-3s with Medical Records that were in their third volume and collectively weighed 50 pounds (not kidding) in 6 months of service. I went through one once to see if my supposition were true and found that she had been on sick call more than morning formation in 6 months. I could go on but it is pretty depressing.

If the Pentagon cared about military readiness, they would have scrapped the affirmative action/ultra PC culture that has poisoned it. Neither the CIC, Sec of Defense, or ‘hawks’ in Congress lifted a finger.

Often an issue claimed to be about “equality” is not about equality at all. The terms “same” and “equal” are of different meanings and different standards. The gender mixing in the military was said to be about “equality” but it wasn’t. It was actually about “accepting” the female sex as the same as the male sex. They are not naturally “same” and cannot be “the same”. Pretending they are and calling that “equality” is a lie. The military is not and cannot operate as a “democracy”. It is not about “one man one vote”. It’s a command and control institution with one priority - its missions. EVERYTHING we bring to the military from our social life must be sacrificed to that priority, or the military fails in its mission.
