I rather doubt the right side of that graphic is true. People are generally good judges of their own looks and personality and know they can’t set their sights too high. When you get shot down several times for trying to go too high, you realize you just need to aim a bit lower. Or at least knock back a few more beers to get the goggles to kick in.

The left side is about who men would be interested in. The right side is about what women are interested in. See my prior posting.

I figured out the graphic. My point is everybody would like to date and marry a “10” but that just isn’t realistic. Men fall in love with somebody about the same looks, intelligence, fitness level, etc as them. They may shoot for “10”s, but soon get realistic.

Women do the same. I doubt there’s a big shift where every average or below average looking woman is holding out for Mr. 10 and not dating men with the same looks as her.

At least that’s the way the world worked when I was younger. But I honestly couldn’t see that changing.
