Barron County (WQOW) A Cumberland woman is charged with theft after police say she stole nearly $30,000 from an ATM at her work.
Amber Hirsch was charged Wednesday in Barron County.
According to police, the owner of the Cumberland BP station told police that between January and April, more than $29,000 was taken from the stores ATM.
The owner said it was Hirschs job to re-fill the machine at the beginning of her shift.
Officers found surveillance video showing Hirsch putting some of the money in her purse. Video also shows her scratching and scanning lottery tickets during her shift without paying for them.
In all, the Cumberland BP believes their total loss was nearly $53,000.
Hirsch returns to court next month. She is free on a $3,000 signature bond.

Yikes! Your Dad was an "Honest-To-God" Marine! I used to work with a Marine who was in Hue in January 1968. He knew that I was Army...and that I was never ordered anywhere SE Asia...so we used to joke that I wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes with GnySgt Hartman.
Dang it !
Is She a Relative of the Bro that got chopped by the Machete carrying Teen defending His House in NC last week ?
It took them four months to figure out they were getting robbed blind?
She looks like a real loser.
“Video also shows her scratching and scanning lottery tickets during her shift...”
She was just trying to pay back the $29,000 she owed.
The scam is to scratch off all of them on a roll then “buy” the winners, or so I’ve heard. On rare occasion the odds favor buying a roll outright, if a particularly large prize hasn’t yet been won and that particular scratch off is winding down.
I’m sure it’s just a coincidence, but over the years, I’ve noticed that a lot of females named Amanda or Amber are... often crazy.
Prosecutors are working on the wording of her p-pass as we speak. Probation and she gets to keep the money...even odds.
