That's a Newsweek reporter asking people about this when she already knows what they'll say. It's not like historians got together as a bloc and decided to agree with AOC and support her. And they're not even all historians - just professors who like to opine about things like this.

“It’s not like historians got together as a bloc and decided to agree with AOC and support her.”

They didn’t have to. It’s quiet complicity. When the historians introduced the narrative that our Founders are racists several decades ago, where was the outcry then and where are the deep volumes which challenge it from then?

Where are they at today, several decades later still challenging that narrative with volume after volume after volume? How is that not a consistent and widespread historical outcry to correct the record?

Where are they - they are nowhere. That’s the point. This all goes back to Beard and the early progressive revisionists. But the foundation they laid a century ago is not concrete. It’s only sturdy because it has no competitors knocking on it. Not yet anyways.

We will get there. Project Veritas wasn’t built in a day either.

Perhaps in this article, but, come on, x, tell us about the latest AHA convention. Same crap, same disoriented socialism, same self-loathing, and same Zinn-centric, Marxist world view.

See here for the last convention (all gender bathrooms required): https://www.historians.org/annual-meeting/program

Some highlights:

Evangelical Loyalties Reconsidered: A Roundtable on Sex, Power, and the Media in the Study of American Evangelicalism

Secret Liaisons and Disloyalty: Space and Gender in Progressive-Era New York

"Chairman Fred Lives”: The Life and Legacies of Fred Hampton, Illinois Black Panther Party Chairman

Orientalism and Its Discontents: Rethinking Approaches to Islam and Islamic Studies in Modern Europe Strategies, Survival, and the Social History of Economic Depressions in 20th-Century Africa and the Indian Ocean World

Rethinking Freedom and Manumission in Latin America and the Atlantic World

Queer Encounters with the US Legal System in the 20th Century

Anti-imperialist Loyalties in the Interwar and the Cold War Years, Part 1: The Interwar Years

So lame.
