Since you asked, some Tournaments have smaller outlier Games like Omaha and High Low, but the Main Events are always Texas Hold ‘Em.
I think the flow and strategy of the game, especially with the two Hole Cards being shown on the Broadcast gets the viewing audience interested and involved.
Of course seeing all the Hole Cards makes people think the game is easier than it is in real life.
I’ve played many Tournaments over the years, but I never made it to the Money. Close, but no Cigar. Kind of a Horseshoes and Hand Grenades thing...

That's where most of the really smart gamblers concentrate.
The consensus is that “luck” is a much smaller factor in sports gambling than in poker.
However, sports bets also have odds, which means your income potential is much lower than it is in poker.
