They will impeach so that they can call Trump “the impeached president”. They will get 52 or 53 votes in the Senate so that they can claim that a majority of the senate wants him removed. All payback for slick Willy.
With all due respect to the bitterness of Mitt Romney, after the Senate Republican caucus - i.e., the majority - gets finished with Comey and his co-conspirators, including Robert Mueller, I wonder if even Mitt would do it.Especially if President Obama is forced to account for what he knew, when, about spying on the political opponent of his party’s nominee for POTUS. Considering how bad that would look, I think the Democrats blink and don’t vote to impeach.
