They are one of the things on my “someday” list. I have a nice river valley that they should grow well in, but right now there’s just too many other trees competing for space. Eventually I’ll be thinning them down, and then there will be room for pawpaws :)
Thanks. We have a creek and originally we planted them 30 feet uphill from the creek. That was the advice we got. But they did not do well for a couple of years and we moved them to higher ground. We found when digging them that even though it looked dry their holes were filled with water. We have not thinned our woods at all, it is enough to keep the jungle beat back around the house. But we are glad they are up here closer to the house.
