Survivors said they were doing 20-30 mph fixing to turn into their motel lot when it happened.
No matter how bad some people seemingly want to pin this on the dead, a driver, probably effed up, slaughtered them.
“Survivors said they were doing 20-30 mph fixing to turn into their motel lot when it happened.”
That makes sense. Then some guy going way too fast for the road slams into the rear of them. I was on a hilly, winding road that was out in the country and posted 50 mph. I was comfortable at 40 or less on a strange road, at dusk with deer in the fields. There would be no way at 50 mph to stop in time for something (a deer, motorcycle or a car) stopped in the middle of the road.
I'm going with you on this, because I've read into this whole situation.
I always look out for cyclists, because I've been there myself. I love to ride, but I don't trust the opposing traffic any more.
