Comrade, all of your internet goods will be shipped via rail to the nearest central processing facility. You will proceed there on foot where within a fiscal quarter or two your goods will be sorted and distributed. You have your orders now you will comply.

The headline describes the most asinine premise I’ve seen in a long time (since the “new green deal” probably). A package is basically weight, weight requires a certain amount of fuel to move from A to B. Unless you engage in the scenario I described above there is very little net savings. I know, I know, physics is hard.
