Really? Want to ask all our wounded warriors if the Bush doctrine is no longer valid? Lots of arm, legs, eyes, fatherless and motherless children, lots of other wounds that will never heal. For what?
I am related to several, and am personal friends with many more. without fail, they are proud of their service and the mission they fulfilled. so are their families.
(a) you’re being ridiculously dramatic, (b) you sound like beto o’rourke right now, (c) I am ashamed of how many conservatives have flipped positions on the WoT because of two decades of constant MSM propaganda — and that is simply undeniable; the WoT had an approval rate of 90-odd percent when it commenced. (d) people need to grow a pair.
20 years from now, the same people that have flipped on the WoT will be saying they supported impeaching trump. mark it down; it will happen. it’s caused by the same lack of conviction.
I admit I was for the US taking out Hussein's WMD, which proved wrong. I've always wondered how that narrative got started. The entire western world believed it (including Hillary and other Dims)and wanted those weapons eradicated. I doubt Bush came up with up it. Who started it? American or foreign intel agencies? media? Who fed Bush such bad intel?
Of course, I was wrong like everyone else and wish we hadn't caused the void of Hussein for ISIS to form and all the worthless loss of lives and limbs mostly caused by them. I am as guilty as anyone for buying into the WMD falsehood. However, I still wonder about those surveillance photos of numerous truck caravans heading to Syria just prior to the invasion.
