Are you sure Chrome is guilty?
Simple to find out, try another browser and see if it happens with that one too.
Yes - It’s not Chrome if it happens with another browser too. Run the security apps in a previous post, especially malwarebytes. If you know a little about how to use it, HijackThis is good too. But be careful what you let it shut down....plenty of what it finds is perfectly normal and safe. You have to know the difference.

No - If another browser does not show the same problem, try some of the Chrome specific suggestions already posted.
It was Chrome specific, got it fixed in permissions
