My pet theory is that the solution to the Fermi Paradox is that developing civilizations tend to go libtard overtime eventually destroying themselves.

Could be the “Dark Forest” theory. That theory suggests that we haven’t been contacted because other civilizations have either been destroyed by a more advanced race or they are all hiding. And we just haven’t been discovered yet by this advanced race.

But more than likely what’s happening is that life may be plentiful, but the vast majority of it is simple lifeforms. Life evolving to the point of intelligence may be rare enough that intelligent civilizations are spread out so much with space and time that they will never meet.
