I'm talking out loud here. Haven't read the book. Rush called Cory a thug. That is when I said...enough is enough...Rush is permanently out of my listening choices. So I'm thinking as I type....could Cory and Manafort be two leaders not wanting to give up their turf? Our President has a thing about surrounding himself with strong personality people. Dave Bossie also wrote the book, so it was the 2 of them taking issue with Manafort.

Just from the way they talked Manafort and the other guy Manafort brought in, can’t remember his name, were more for themselves and not actually in Trumps best interest.

Very self serving.

I don’t think Manafort had any dirt on Trump to give up and at least he had more principles than Cohen, he didn’t make stuff up to try and get off the hook, I’ll give him that.
