Subject: Out-of-town pool report #2 (WH denies McCain target of pastures comment, bilat rundown)
Air Force One, which was wheels up at Andrews at 2:06 p.m., landed in Anchorage at 4:47 p.m. Alaska time for refueling.
On the way, deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley visited the pool a couple times to outline bilateral/trilateral meetings in Osaka and to provide a comment about President Trumps remarks earlier Wednesday about senators going on to greener pastures.
Gidley: Theres been some confusion over who the president was talking about this morning when he mentioned some senator, senators whove passed on to greener pastures, or not so greener pastures. Some people in the media are speculating he was talking about Senator McCain. Thats absolutely ridiculous. He was talking specifically about Senators Corker and Flake.
