We all are questioning, thinking deeper, and doing more research. Our brains are engaged! It’s a good thing!
My concern is that the system of government has/is being over run. All the details that are now involved in doing the simplist of tasks is overwhelming !
OTOH Some Things are getting better.
At the DRs in last month was given papers and papers and more papers to initial. All had been filled out on previous visits They know me! I’m not a new patient. What a waste of time, paper and staff.
Dermatologist now has a pad to sign and you only see the paper work if you request.
The hospital I go to for lab work has been able to cut out one step. We no longer must stop at admittance before going to the lab. DR send orders directly to lab
Having a NP available for the small stuff gives the Dr more time for the BIG stuff

Come to think of it..when I had to go to the hospital in Seymour that hospital wasn't in my net work. Instead of my husband spending hours on the phone with Humana talking them through doing their job and pretty much how to do it...we were quickly told the bill was paid even though the hospital said differently. In the end we hardly paid anything including the EMS service and ride. Something has certainly changed.
